Yalumba Samuel’s Collection: 170 years in the making
Driven by the preservation of provenance, progressive thinking, sustainability and excellence; Australia’s most historic family-owned winery have released their Samuel’s Collection which embodies these virtues and more.
Celebrating founder Samuel Smith’s spirit of independence, along with the most beloved and iconic varietals from the Barossa region, Yalumba have unveiled their striking new clocktower icon on the sleek and stylish packaging of this range.
Head of Winemaking Louisa Rose has made the wines in a youthful, fresh style that is popular with wine drinkers today whilst keeping the delicious fruit concentration and premium quality that Yalumba wines are renowned for. The sustainably grown wines are made without the use of dairy or animal products making them vegetarian and vegan friendly. The use of indigenous yeasts that naturally occur in the vineyards create a unique and complex wine with texture and elegance.
The finest fruit, including grapes from the low yielding older vines from the Eden Valley and Barossa Valley, have been used along with a diverse selection of oak barriques of different ages. The result is a distinctive collection of superior wines.
The inaugural release of the Samuel’s Collection includes vibrant examples of Barossa Shiraz, Barossa Shiraz & Cabernet Sauvignon, Barossa Bush Vine Grenache, Barossa Grenache Shiraz Mataro and Eden Valley Viognier, which will be available in fine wine retail stores throughout New Zealand.
