New year, new you. Don’t bother with resolutions, just get a new haircut. It’ll make you feel better than breaking promises to yourself and you’ll look good to everyone else. M2 took some of the team down to BarberShopCo for a new look as we head full steam through summer. We left the styling and cuts up to their professional team of barbers and recorded the results, including some styling tips to take home afterwards.
We left our man Mason in the capable hands of Dinnelle who gave him this impressive Medium to Long Scissor Cut. Honestly, of all the cuts we saw this day, this is one of the most impressive, at least from where I stand.
This is a look that could be adopted by a guy who wants an edgier look, with sharp clean edges. It has plenty of length through the top and moves into a high graduation. It can be worn high with loads of volume and swept up at the back with a whip. If you don’t have time for all that nonsense and need to keep things a bit more casual, you can push it to either the side or down and just texture it a little through the back.
To prep the look get your hair damp and then spray through the King Brown Grooming Spray. Blow wave it dry and then add the Bowery Holdfast to your roots and pull through to the ends. You’re now ready to slay the day.
Prospectors Diamond should be your go-to if you were planning on taking the Medium to Long Scissor Cut in a more casual direction. It’s also a great product for styles like slick backs, pompadours, textured cuts and side parts.
While we have been hair focused on this channel, we shouldn’t forget about the rest of your head, Earnest Empire – Moisturiser with SPF15 is a lightweight, easily absorbed cream providing hydrating nourishment and protection against the elements. With that little extra kick of Rosehip Oil and Acai Berry, it’ll leave your skin looking and feeling healthy, and you energized and refreshed.
